POWER RANGERS: PHANTOM FIGHTERS


There exists a veil between this world and all others; a thin shroud that barely conceals the strange mysteries of the unknown from the inhabitants of this plane of existence. However, this veil has a way of…ruffling, twisting, and sometimes even parting altogether to let the inexplicable, the unbelievable, and the supernatural right into our unsuspecting world. Some things that cross over are good… but some things will haunt your nightmares, those unseen frights that waver just within the periphery of your vision. For those things that go bump in the night, an elite society was formed to keep the real monsters at bay.

The Bureau of Occult Operations (BOO) is the agency that handles these situations. Walter and Wanda Winthrop, top paranormal detectives, have gone missing while investigating a case involving an ancient evil that threatens to reawaken to devour the world. Their eighteen year old son discovers their files on the subject and shares the information with his group of friends, all of whom also happen to be in some way involved with BOO. 

As the mystery of this menacing threat unfolds, it becomes evident that a stronger force is needed to combat it. The Powers That Be approach Wyatt and his friends with the prospect of unraveling the truth behind the reemerging evil as well as finding Wyatt’s lost parents. Five exceptional young people are given morphers and dubbed POWER RANGERS: PHANTOM FIGHTERS.

Wyatt Winthrop is a charming, kind young man who has always had an affiliation with the supernatural. From the age of four, Wyatt has had an ‘imaginary friend’, who in reality is an inter-dimensional being called Ileolan, who has protected him as a guardian angel. When his parents go missing and the last case they were on before disappearing falls into his lap, it is up to him and his friends to rescue them and discover the truth before it’s too late. Wyatt is the de facto leader of the team by way of nepotism more so than ability, although he is both a supremely formidable fighter and a quick thinker. On most issues, he consults second-in-command Aaliyah before making any sort of decision. Wyatt is a bright and courageous young man who hopes to solve a grand mystery and reunite with his parents. He pilots the PHANTOM BAT Zord, in the guise of a vampire bat, which forms the head, torso, and wings of the PHANTOMAX MEGAZORD.

Aaliyah Kirkland is a pretty, smart, and logical-thinking young woman with powerful telepathic abilities. She has the ability to sense spirits and the nature of a person's heart. She serves as the Second-in-Command of the team, and is usually regarded as the organizational leader, whilst Wyatt remains the leader on the battlefield. That isn't to say that she isn't a ferocious fighter, for she is trained extensively in the martial art of wushu. Depsite all of this, Aaliyah is a friendly and kind young woman who wants to protect the world from evil. She pilots the PHANTOM HOUND Zord, in the guise of Anubis, which forms the right arm of the PHANTOMAX MEGAZORD.

Dane Abernathy is a quiet young man from an Irish-American family with their fair share of ties to the occult. Apparently, Dane has everything from Druids to witches and royalty in his bloodline, said to be descended from the legendary Prince Garrett of Reged. Dane is an expert on the nature of occult objects, and has exponentially developing magical abilities, including casting illusions and healing. Dane can handle himself in hand to hand combat, but he is much better at casting magical attacks from a distance. As most blue Rangers, he is the go-to guy if you need to know something. He pilots the PHANTOM SERPENT Zord, in the guise of a sea serpent, which forms the right leg of the PHANTOMAX MEGAZORD.

Emiko Sugawara is a sassy, clever, and strong-willed young woman who is descended from a line of powerful Japanese priestesses, imbuing her with strong magical abilities-- such as the ability to sense demons and ghosts and detect their weak points.She is expertly trained in the arts of karate and kendo. Emiko also has the ability to create spiritual seals and traps to ensnare nasty spirits. Emiko almost always has something to say... but her quick tongue has a way of occasionally getting her into trouble. She pilots the PHANTOM WOLF Zord, in the guise of a werewolf, which forms the left leg of the PHANTOMAX MEGAZORD.

Lakin Gray is a high-spirited, happy-go-lucky young man who happens to be legally deaf after a severe case of the measles nearly took his life as a child. He wears a hearing aid in his right ear and is an excellent lip reader. He can hear somewhat and speak well enough to be understood, but his main mode of communication is signing, which all of his friends understand and are able to speak as well. He is an avid surfer and a beach-life enthusiast, preferring to spend the majority of his time among the waves. Lakin comes from a very eccentric family background. His mother is a Wiccan preistess and his father-- who disappeared during an exhibition in Cairo-- is an archaeologist who specializes in the occult. Lakin himself is a young cryptozoologist with a wide and varied knowledge of several alien and mythical creatures and species. It also appears that he can communicate with them nonverbally. Basically, he's like Luna Lovegood mixed with The 10th Doctor mixed with a dash of Bridge Carson. He's always finding the bright side of any situation and is trained well enough in the martial arts of kung fu and jujitsu to hold his own on the battlefield when unmorphed. He pilots the PHANTOM RAVEN Zord, in the guise of a raven, which forms the left arm of the PHANTOMAX MEGAZORD.

Ileolan is an inter-dimensional being of a race of humanoid creatures called The Faerinians. His race has 'subspecies' that specialize in different tasks—Ileolan is a Paladin, a knight class meant to protect. Ileolan is actually two centuries old, but he appears to be in his early twenties. He has been friends with Wyatt since before Wyatt was born. He possesses incredible strength and natural magic. Plants and animals respond favorably to him. He has been told that a great destiny awaits him, but he doesn’t know what it is.

When Wyatt and his fellow Rangers need him the most, Ileolan finds a way to cross over into our world, taking up the mantle of the White Wraith Ranger to fight alongside the others.

Together, these young adults face off against legions of villains right off the silver-screen. A band of five increasingly fiendish generals face off against our heroes before the true horror is revealed... The wild and rueful Lycanthra; a werewolf with a pack of gnarly lycan-themed beasts. The ominous and lumbering Frankenbolt; a golem-like gargantuan stitched together and zapped to half-life, his own band of hodgepodge hellions in tow.  The stoic and sullen Seavil; a gilled and slimy sea-monster with a crew of sea-themed minions. The regal and ruthless Nefaria, a mummified warrior queen who rules her own equally mummified servants... And finally, Vladraqhoul, the second-in-command to the True Evil; a voracious, blood-thirsty (literally) vampire lord whose Nosferatu-esque goons do much of his dirty work...

The True Evil, something akin to an eldritch horror, isn't seen until the final act...
